In the Fall of 2019, my wife and I were shopping and came across some wooden Jack-o'-lanterns. I decided I could make them myself and got to work. I made a few different designs, showed them to family and friends and began to get orders. Over the next year or so I started doing more things with barn wood and realized this was something I wanted to pursue. I love working with reclaimed wood, doors, shutters, and other items, and coming up with creative ways to turn them into something new. I also love that when working with these materials, no two items are ever the same. In 2021 I've worked to turn Papi's Barn into an official business, which led to creating this website.
The name "Papi's Barn" originated from the name my two (now three) beautiful grandchildren call me and because most of the materials I use come from old barns. While I still currently work a normal 9-5 job, my weekends and evenings are dedicated to Papi's Barn. Thanks for checking out my site! Steve |
